Degree programs at NCA&T are classified using codes, titles, and definitions stated in A Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP), 1990 edition, published by the Office of Educational Research and Improvement, Center for Educational Statistics, U.S. Department of Education. The University of North Carolina System began using the CIP taxonomy in early 1999 and it became effective at NCA&T on July 1, 1999. For reference, the previous degree program listing, under the old HEGIS taxonomy, is available in 1999 FactBook. |
